Tomás Fernandes and André Rijo built the Dungeon Master Companion (DMC) app as an ad-supported app with an optional one-time purchase to remove ads. This SERVICE is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information for anyone who uses our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Your app content — notes, characters, saved combats, homebrew creations, pinned rules, settings, and backups — is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or have any access to this data. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
The app uses third-party services from Google that collect certain information automatically:
Advertising (Google AdMob). The app shows banner and full-screen ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and share:
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. It collects usage information such as screens viewed, session duration, app opens, country-level location, device model, operating system version, and anonymous device identifiers. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
Remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config). The app fetches configuration values (for example, whether certain ads are enabled) from Firebase. This involves standard connection data such as your IP address but is not used to build a profile of you.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent form on first launch where you can choose whether ads may be personalized. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the app's data (which shows the form again) or by contacting us at the address below. You can also limit ad personalization device-wide in your Android settings under Google > Ads.
The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Google Play that the purchase was made, which is stored on your device to keep ads disabled.

These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for advertising, and are bound by Google's privacy policies. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services listed above.
Analytics and advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention policies (analytics event data is retained for a limited period, after which it is deleted or aggregated). We do not maintain our own servers or databases of user data. If you want data associated with your device deleted, you can reset your Android Advertising ID in your device settings, or contact us and we will assist with a deletion request.
All data transmitted by the app to the services above is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us, and we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
